Woody`s Crab House in Nortd East

Great road trip for crabs, oyster and hush puppies and engaging wait staff. Had a blast celebrating a Friend's Bday.

Woody's Crab House has excellent service, but the food was not good. Money was wasted as I couldn't eat it. Salt and Old Bay Seasoning didn't even help. 👅

Woody's was pretty good. My date and I got the Crabcakes. The hostesses and waitress we're all very pleasant.

OMG, all the seafood on the menu is absolutely delicious. I ordered the Crab Bisque with King Crab Legs, wow, I'm going to have them again, for sure. Great service.

Buyer beware of recycled gift cards the sell. Got one for a father's day and was told it was already used a year prior. Manager Brian refused to solve problemHad to have son who paid for card go to bartender who sold it. Luckily bartender was smart enough to look in a hand written ledger to see that card was purchased and valid. Very unprofessional and food wasn't as great as it should have been for price.

Food and portion size went way down hill. The nacho platter had very little seafood on it, and there were only about 12 tortilla chips. There use to be a little more seafood, but the platter itself was three times the size. They also served it on some type of foil/paper. The paper stuck to the bottom of the nachos, and we had to pick it off when we were eating it. My wife got the blackened chicken sandwich, the chicken breast use to be a good size and she loved the taste of it. The breast was very small and was not blackened at all, it looked and tasted like they used Montreal seasoning and grilled it. Also, my sons crab cake was loaded with filler, and 3 of the 4 sides of fries were burnt bad. This use to be our favorite restaurant and we really looked forward to going here, however, it is no longer worth the money or the drive.

You definitely get your money's worth of food with wonderful service.

If I could give zero stars I would! My waitress hasn't been back to ask of my table needs anything! The food was at best ok! I had crab cake diner no condiments to go with i had to ask! My steamed broccoli was harder then the table my food sat on! I will not return an I will not recommend this place! Horrible!!!

Sol was amazing. The food and dessert was delicious! Didn't take long at all! Overall every single thing was amazing

Bartender guy was very nice/attentive. Drinks were great, crab balls and coconut shrimp were very good.

We were very happy with our service. Gretchen the bartender was awesome!! Very helpful and jovial. Our food was delicious. My husband is very picky about his crabcakes, and he said they were the best!!

We drove from the University of Delaware to try Woody’s and it was just amazing. My son had the crab-cake’s and I had the seafood platter. The service was excellent and wow have the chocolate layer cake. We’ll go back definitely.

Relaxed atmosphere. A menu that is full of many great choices, a long list. The seafood is fresh and crab, any kind imaginable is available. Crab cakes and crab imperial are excellent. Lobster, fish and more crab. Blue claw, Dungeness, snow and king. Prices reflect portion sizes.

Me and my family have been coming here for over 30 years. My father (rest in peace) used to love it here. He would take all of us to here for crabs every weekend even though mom didnt like seafood! Nothing has changed much.... They have really great soft shell crabs! Do not pass up on this place!

This was AMAZING ! The seafood was so good & worth the money ! I recommend getting the “Net buster” Crab legs, lobster tail, clams, shrimp, etc ! Sooo worth it !

We've been going to Woody' s for many, many years. They never disappoint. This time I had the Woody's Melt, my husband had the crab cakes, my 3 year old loved his Lump Crab Cake sandwich (the Cole slaw was delicious), and my 6 year old loved her crab bisque and blue crabs. Great service and atmosphere. We had to finish off the evening next door at Woody's Ice Cream Ally!!!

As usual food was fabulous.Service and food delivery were a little slow.Tables were socially distanced but unfortunately approximately 90% of the help either were not masked or wearing their masks improperly plus one gentleman which we determined was either the owner or manager of Woody's did not have a mask on.Not so good in our pandemic era!!!

Waited too long for overcooked food in a dark environment. I dont get it, you can pay the same amount at a nice restaurant and enjoy better surroundings, and food prepared by someone who knows how to properly prepare food. I guess if you don't have high standards this place is alright. Also given a bucket on the floor for shells 🤦‍♀️

I absolutely love this place.. I get the Alaskan Snow crab legs every time!! You don't even need the butter!! The atmosphere is great...you can eat either outside or in..and the people are great!!

This place's prime is in the rear-view mirror. Crowded with tourists, and gets by on its reputation of yore. You can do better...

Our group had a wonderful time! Service and the food were both excellent. We picked a great place to go out to for the first time in months!I highly recommend coming here to dine.

Since when do you buy a $33 meal and have no cutlery no salt no nothing no condiments know nothing included. The green beans were grossly overcooked and not a smattering of seasoning I expected them to be buttered and seasoned nothing they were the blandest it was like I don't know I think grass would have tasted better. The crab cakes were mediocre I have had better. I don't enjoy taking hunks of green lattice for a Caesar salad and smearing the lettuce the romaine into the dressing because the fools didn't include cutlery with the meal. Grossly overpriced mediocre meal with atrocious service never again

Good food. Nice staff. The shrimp and crab pot was awesome. You get a lot of food for the price.

Our table was ready when we walked in..love that..Our service was so terrific..and everybite of all 4 of our dinners was gone..Always have great food and service here..

Very nice place! Their is a wide variety of choices and everything that we got was good and on point. Eating outside was very nice during the evening because of the location. It is on the main street of a very nice little quiet town. A go to if you are in the area and want crab or seafood.

Got seated in less than our original wait time, service was good, drinks were good, and the food was very very good. Highly recommend the crab legs.

My family and I love to visit Woody's! When we found out it was open for indoor seating, we planned a trip for early Father's Day. And as normal the food is outstanding! We are very happy to see them open for indoor dining!

Service was GREAT, food was meh. Fish was advertised as fresh catch of the day, server said none actually are. I ordered my usual seafood go to’s. I’ve never actually had mahi mahi served well done so it was a huge surprise (also bland.) The hush puppies and coleslaw were tasty! May be great for others but not what I am accustomed to.

Whenever we are in the area, we always stop by for a seafood meal. The jumbo lump crab cake sandwich was delicious and the hugh fried clam platter was tasty. However, the crab bisque was disappointed this time. They must have changed the recipe or changed chef. The wait staffs are always friendly and very efficient. Overall, the experience was good enough to bring us back in the future.

We loved this place as well as the cute little town. We can't wait to go back when the weather is nice so we can eat here again and the explore the town and all the shops. Never knew this hidden town existed. Passed by here so many times.

Everything was phenomenal. Had their blackened salmon served with veggie medley and red skinned potatoes and a Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA. Fantastic. Our waitress was also super attentive and fun!

It's pretty good. The fish and chips were tasty, but I kind of expected a lighter golden batter, and the chips were just fries, not big thick ones like you'd expect when you think "chips".The Chincoteague Salts were awesome - wish I ordered more!Crab bisque was great as well.Shrimp scampi was decent but could have had more shrimp. A little oily.Burger was good but nothing unusual.We didn't order crabs this time, but the ones I saw people order looked really good. I wouldn't hesitate to order them here next time if I'm in the mood for them.Atmosphere was pretty cool, but the bar was way overcrowded for the COVID era, and no one was wearing masks. Service was a little slow but sufficient and polite.It's a little expensive, but it IS a seafood place so that's not too surprising. And there's only a few options for dining in town. And it's less expensive than the steak restaurant down the street. Food is better than Pier 1.If you're into seafood and you're in North East, try Woody's.

I have been going to Woody’s Crab House for years !!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE taking a 45-60 min ride from Pennsauken, NJ to Woody’s in North East, MD🤗🤗 !!! It’s a great ride on a beautiful sunny day with family and/or friends during Blue Crab Claw season (for me), a seafood lovers dream all year long and a shoppers dream come to in this beautiful little town🤗🤗🤗 !!! Great prices everywhere 😳😳🤫🤫🤫🤗🤗🤗 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤩🤩🤩🤩!!!I’ve ALWAYS received Great service and Excellent foods 🤗🤗 !!!!

Had the broiled seafood combo and was disappointed with the fish, it was like mush with no taste I highly doubt the three scallops were actual scallops and to be fair the four shrimp were crisp and flavorful and our waitress was great. Also had the crab soup, they held the crab

* Allergen Alert: Woody’s serves fresh salted peanuts and they are everywhere. This is not a safe place for folks with peanut allergies. Woody’s has (in my humble opinion) just about the best crab bisque I’ve ever tried! They serves lots of other great plates, but any proper Woody’s review has to start there.My wife always enjoys the crab au’gratin. Anything with crabs is going to be really good here. My brother in-law religiously orders the bag of steamed shrimp—highly recommended. I had a lobster—very nicely done and great flavor. My only complaint here: the New York strip steak is usually over-cooked, and dry. Steak is just not something they are good at. The outdoor seating space is great, and gives you a nice view of the classic little-town ambiance of North East MD. Next door, Woody’s has an ice cream parlor with all sorts of classic ice creams.

Nice menu, friendly wait staff, but the food didn't measure up. Shrimp scampi had almost no garlic and the pasta underneath was completely tasteless. My friend had soft shell crabs and liked them. A calamari appetizer was very good. Mojitos way too sweet. The kitchen may have been in a rush.

portion of food. quality doesn't disappoint chocolate chip cake. fried clams. manage to get a customer for like dt clams. 😁. majority of staff is great. some minor noticed is the the tables combined for 6 top and on are very unsteady. as someone who has to push up from the table to use a cane. its dangerous. i wouldn't want the table to land on me or anyone else. possible tape down the edges at times the paper gets in the way

I went there with family on a limb. The food is delicious, the wait staff are very kind & accommodating. Our server Jaimie was very pleasant & fast, she made sure that our drinks were filled & we had plenty of napkins & utensils etc. The ribs were very good, boneless buffalo wings, crab clusters, corn on the cob, crab cheese fries. Everything was great. The environment is also different than Philly where we're from
